Mobile Specialist – Maximo Mobile

Hourly Rate: $80 – $85/hour

Job Description

The Mobile Specialist is responsible for the implementation, configuration, testing, and support of Maximo Mobile within the MAS 9.x environment to enable field-based operations for Staten Island Ferry personnel. This role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions across multiple device types and operating systems while supporting offline functionality, synchronization, and integration with enterprise asset management workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and deploy Maximo Mobile applications for iOS, Android, and Windows devices in accordance with DOT security and operational requirements.

• Configure mobile workflows to support work management, inventory, preventive maintenance, service requests, and inspection activities.

• Implement and test offline data synchronization, ensuring reliability in disconnected or low-connectivity environments.

• Configure authentication, authorization, and device security policies in coordination with DOT and IBM cloud teams.

• Test mobile applications across supported devices and operating systems; troubleshoot client-side and synchronization issues.

• Support integration of barcode and RFID scanning with Maximo Mobile to enable real-time inventory and asset tracking.

• Collaborate with functional consultants to align mobile workflows with business processes and operational needs.

• Assist with UAT activities related to mobile functionality and support end-user training efforts.

• Provide post–go-live mobile support and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience implementing Maximo Mobile or similar EAM mobile solutions.

• Hands-on experience with MAS 9.x Mobile framework and mobile deployment best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Public-sector or transportation field operations.

• Experience supporting offline-capable mobile applications for maintenance and inspection crews.
