Borough Public Outreach Manager
Location: Brooklyn & Queens, NY
Type: Full-Time, Contract
Pay Range: $42 – $48/hour
Position Overview
The Borough Public Outreach Manager supports the Outreach Lead by overseeing outreach strategy development, staff coordination, and material implementation to ensure DEP expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support the Borough Public Outreach Lead

Develop and implement community outreach strategies and materials

Coordinate outreach plans with DEP and construction contractors

Monitor staff performance and ensure outreach goals are met

Ensure outreach materials are accurate, approved, and properly distributed

Assist with reporting, tracking metrics, and quality control

Support preparation for public meetings and events

Ensure outreach efforts align with DEP messaging and community needs
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Planning, Public Affairs, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating outreach or public engagement projects

Experience working with government agencies or construction programs

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
